Luxury WoodEvo Pool Deck Builders Kingsford

This Kingsford pool deck rebuild had a fun challenge that needed solving — a wall of exposed pool equipment that the homeowners wanted hidden without losing access for servicing. The solution: five trafficable hinged hatches that read as continuous deck when closed, plus a separate trimmer hide box, all finished in WoodEv Advanced Antique Silver composite. The frameless glass pool fence came off carefully at demo, stayed safely stacked through the build, and went back in with new black hardware once the deck was done.

Greg's Contractor Take

The puzzle on this Kingsford build wasn’t the deck — it was the pool equipment. The clients wanted it gone, visually, but I still needed full access for service days. So I designed five hinged hatches that sit flush with the rest of the deck, each one opening to a different piece of gear. Closed, you’d never know they’re there. Open, the whole equipment bay is accessible. The trimmer hide box does the same job for the whipper snipper. Everything sits behind the pool fence line, so it all stays compliant. WoodEv Antique Silver finished it off — composite, low maintenance, the colour the clients wanted.

Five trafficable hinged access panels over the pool equipment. Closed, the deck reads as one continuous surface. Open, every piece of gear is reachable for servicing. This is what the whole build was designed around.
