Greg was the loveliest person to deal with. He turned up at 7 am rain or shine and was extremely professional and tidy. He designed a 3 D model of what our sunken fire pit seated area would look like and he designed exactly what he created. He even managed to reinforce our crumbling sandstone tile blocks with a metal frame and additional timber decking to look like it was part of the design. I would definitely recommend Greg for future projects. He is reliable and did not disappoint.

To be honest, the selfish side of me would nearly like to say that The Decksmith (Greg) is really bad so his busy schedule is freed up and he can weave some of his magical work on more of my projects. Greg first built us a fantastic hardwood timber deck over an old concrete slab at the back of our house that has transformed a previously dull area into an inviting and attractive deck. He then built a pergola over the deck that included visually striking hardwood posts, versiclad insulated roofing material and panels that allow natural light to percolate into the deck area. The work was of such a high standard, I decided to get another pergola over an alfresco area to match. The finished product is stunning. I’m a qualified building surveyor of 30+ years experience so I can appreciate quality workmanship and Greg’s work is absolutely top class. We’re getting him to also do some other work in the future including replacement glass pool fencing and timber storage areas. If I could give him 6 stars I would.

The Millboard looks fantastic. Greg did a 1st class job building the decking – it required new footings and structure, has multiple deck levels and angles, access to the backyard has many stairs and there was consistent rain.
